Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead to join our team within Community Health Services.

Our Community Teams work closely with the acute hospitals, General Practice, Social Care, and Palliative care teams as well as many other services to give our patients the best care we can.

The Single point of Access team is based at New Parks Health Centre and supports the Community Health service teams throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our single point of access contact centre which connects our patients with our clinical teams, and clinicians with each other is open 07:15-22:00 every day of the year as we provide a vital link to make sure our patients get the care they need, when they need it most.

You will need to be able to cover shifts 07:15-22:00, 365 days a year including weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Operational Manager you will be responsible for:

Providing line management support to the team of Service Co-ordinators to ensure SPA delivers an exceptional, quality service for our service users,

Providing operational management of the contact centre, using available technologies and reporting systems to identify and implement improvements,

Coaching, motivating and team development,

Working with service managers and matrons to maintain and enhance effective working relationships,

Proactively solving complex problems,

Ensure staff are providing consistently effective and efficient support,

To implement, monitor and audit service provision to ensure operational criteria and quality standards are met,

Support effective recruitment, selection, induction, management and development of staff,

Supporting call, e-referral and email handling during busy times
