Job summary
The Leicestershire Health Informatics Service (LHIS), hosted by the Leicestershire Partnership Trust, is currently seeking individuals interested in a part-time opportunity to join their IT support team. This position requires 15 hours of work, which can be spread over 3 days (Monday to Wednesday) with 5 hours per day. The working hours will be within the service hours of 09:00 to 17:00, and the specific schedule will be determined during the interview. Alternatively, applicants can work 7.5 hours on Monday and Tuesday.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibility of this job is to offer IT support to a userbase of over 20,000 end users in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. This support includes addressing hardware, software, and network issues. The role will primarily involve traveling to different sites, which include community hospitals, Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) sites, General Practices (GP) surgeries, Integrated Care System (ICS) sites, Schools, Colleges, Care Homes, and Council sites. Therefore, it is crucial for the candidate to possess a full UK driving license and have access to a car for transportation of IT equipment. This position is diverse and requires the ability to quickly identify, research, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks within our Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Effective communication skills, strong organisational abilities, self-motivation, and efficiency are essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate must be available for on-call duties and weekend work when necessary.

- Educated to degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent technical experience.
- Qualified to A Level / BTEC / HNC / HND with a high proportion of content relevant to the job role or equivalent experience.
- At least one qualification in an IM&T related industry qualification at entry level. e.g. (Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation, Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network +, MCSE. MOS etc)
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Expertise and technical knowledge working with Windows
- Operating systems and Microsoft Products (Windows 10/11, MS Teams, Office 365, etc)
