Job summary
We have a rewarding opportunity for a Business Administration Assistant to join our team on Griffin Ward 30 hours per week based at the Herschel Prins Centre.

You will be joining our friendly and welcoming administration network as well as the clinical ward team and will be supported to learn and develop, enabling you to provide an excellent administration service to the multi disciplinary team on the ward.
Although you will be providing administration services to the clinical teams based within a ward setting, your office will be based off the ward, and shared with the BAA for the opposite ward. However, there will be occasions where you will need to be present on the ward to carry out duties including, meetings and other tasks as per the job description.

The Position is for 30 hours per week

Main duties of the job
- To provide comprehensive administrative and/or secretarial support to an individual, clinical team or specific service area to harmonise efforts and specialisms of all disciplines to achieve effective and efficient service provision.
- To undertake diary management, including booking events, meetings and appointments.
- To attend meetings, organising refreshments and resources, preparing agendas and taking accurate notes/minutes, identifying and co-ordinating agreed actions. Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of professional colleagues and service users.
- To organise, plan and prioritise own workload, to be responsive to the changing needs of the service, utilising and maintaining electronic and hard-copy office systems to ensure the smooth-running of the service or team.
- To deal confidentially and confidently with complex patient and staff information and to provide support and advice within the remit of the role, and escalating problems or concerns where appropriate.
- To ensure that standards of the ward are met, confidently escalate problems or concerns where appropriate that may affect staff, patients and the organisation.
