We are seeking three enthusiastic, highly experienced Level 1 (Adult) Registered Nurses with strong clinical skills, leadership skills and recent or current community hospital or hospital ward nursing expertise to join our CHS Clinical Education Team as a Clinical Trainer/Practice Development Nurse.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, dynamic nurse to apply their clinical nursing skills and knowledge to Clinical Education. You should be committed to fostering a learning culture which delivers high quality patient care, evidence-based practice, research, and innovation and have a proven track record of supervising, assessing, mentoring, and developing a range of nursing staff.
Our team works mainly Monday to Friday during office hours but with the expectation that some occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required to meet training needs.
Main duties of the job

- Working with minimal supervision in contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality effective training, learning and development interventions, to ensure that the Community Health Services (CHS) directorate workforce has the requisite knowledge, skills, and competence to deliver safe, effective patient care.
- Being responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and support in relation to clinical nursing practice within our Community Hospitals.
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders (internal and external), and educational establishments to provide appropriate consistent learning opportunities.
- Working alongside all members of the wider education service (including service users/patients), assisting in the development and implementation of quality education programmes that reflect contemporary practice and promotes high quality patient care, whilst incorporating national guidance and supporting the Trusts local agenda.
- Supporting the assessment of clinical competence within clinical practice areas by working alongside clinicians.
