Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a CMHT that takes pride in what we do. We provide holistic and person-centred mental health services for people over 65 with functional and organic conditions and for people under 65 with cognitive impairment. The CMHT is a well-established multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Practitioners (nurses and social workers) and Health Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists. The teams provide face to face assessments and care for service users referred via GP, the Central Access Point, In-patients, and Crisis Teams. The key skills required for these roles include the ability to demonstrate excellent on-going assessment, risk assessment and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
The team covers a catchment area of Melton, Rutland and Market Harborough.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an exceptional Band 5 who is able to demonstrate their clinical experience in managing different mental health conditions. We are looking for an individual who is committed and motivated to improving patient experience and care and contribute to team building and staff development. You would be expected to manage a caseload of both functional and organic patients. The post will involve supporting your colleagues and supervising student nurses. The successful candidate will be able demonstrate the same core values as our organisation; Compassion, Respect, Trust, and Integrity in all aspects of their work.
Preceptorship is available for newly qualified staff.
