A very exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic individual to join the Directorate of Mental Health (DMH) as a Recruitment and Onboarding Support Officer for a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will work to provide recruitment and onboarding (new starter experience) support to Service and Team managers within the Directorate of Mental Health. This role will work closely with the Trust Recruitment Team.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have excellent organisation skills, be quick to learn and able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision. The role will mainly be based at home with the requirement to travel into LPT bases across Leicester as and when needed.

Main duties of the job

To support managers to recruit the right people, with the right skills, at the right time to deliver the best possible services to patients, service users and carers.

To develop strong and productive relationships and networks within the directorate and wider organisation to support effective, efficient, and supported recruitment and induction of all appointees and new starters. This will require the use of excellent communication skills, and a person-centred and customer focused approach.

To work directly with recruiting managers to formulate and enact recruitment and on-boarding plans which meet the needs of the service and provide a positive experience to all candidates and new starters.

To work with colleagues in the Recruitment Team working on Directorate of Mental Health vacancies and candidates to ensure that efforts are aligned and contribute to the best candidate attraction and recruitment experience.
