Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 ADHD Nurse Specialist to work as part of the Adult ADHD Service currently based at the Herschel Prins Centre. The service has undergone significant change and continues to grow to meet the current demand. It is a busy team with a high referral rate for new referrals and transitions from CAMHS. The service is clinic based, with clinics held in various locations across Leicestershire.
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, experienced Mental Health Nurse Prescriber with extensive mental health experience. Experience of working with ADHD in Adults or Children is desirable. Full training and induction will be provided.
You must be a RMN and an Independent Prescriber. You will work with our Senior ADHD Nurse Specialists to provide follow up and treatment for Adults with ADHD.
You will be expected to manage your caseload effectively to improve the experience for the adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD. The ability to communicate effectively and share information appropriately is essential.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible and able to use initiative. You will need to work independently, as well as part of the wider Adult ADHD MDT and be adaptable to the changing needs of the organisation.

To be responsible for the coordination of services and to promote optimum health, self-management and effective liaison between agencies.
To be responsible for the development of specialist care interventions and care plans.
To be influential within the organisation and provide detailed advice to others internally and externally to the organisation, within their sphere of competence.
To work collaboratively with other senior nurses across LPT as appropriate and promote the role of their specialty nursing to all stakeholders.
To foster a culture of networking in an open and transparent approach with internal and external MDTs and between all stakeholders
