Job summary
Are you passionate about mental health and working in a specialised area of care? Do you want to work in a role which allows you to support our Huntington's Disease service users with therapeutic engagement at Mill Lodge?
Huntington's disease is a rare, inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain. Huntington's disease has a wide impact on a person's functional abilities and usually results in movement, thinking (cognitive) and psychiatric disorders.
Therapeutic liaison is a job role which will allow you to explore a multitude of coping mechanisms with patients whilst having fun through many ways such as going for visits out to various places, hosting art sessions, playing and listening to music, group activities, guided meditation and much more.
This role is for you to explore your own talents and build your confidence whilst supporting individuals with meaningful therapeutic activities while they are at Mill Lodge.

Main duties of the job
- You will be part of a supportive, innovative management and leadership team, helping us to transform our mental health services to deliver the best care.
- You will work with service users with complex physical and mental health needs, helping them get the best out of meaningful and therapeutic activities
