Job summary

An exciting, and rare, opportunity has arisen offering a permanent 37.5 hours per week post with the Mental Health Services for Older People Central Referral Hub/Unscheduled Care Service.
Based at the Neville Centre at Leicester General Hospital, and currently a Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 service, the team of Band 6 RMNs, supported by a Band 7 Service Lead and our admin staff, covers the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area. Travel is minimized by the use of remote working where possible. As part of MHSOP community services, our nurse-led team accesses medical support from the wider service.
Main duties of the job
As a Health Care Support Worker your role will include (but not be limited to):
- Assisting the healthcare team in the provision and delivery of programmes of patient care under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners. This includes
- Taking physical or psychological measurements from named clients/service users as delegated by the team
- Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and well-being
- Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities
- Under the supervision of healthcare professionals assist the healthcare team with the planning, organising and provision of clinical care
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals
- Assisting Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans
- Accurately record patient information on the Electronic Patient Record
As well as all mandatory training we will provide regular individual management and clinical supervision, along with a Health Care Support Worker Development Forum, to support you and to enable you to safely build on your knowledge and skills.
