Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to become part of an effective team as a technical instructor, providing a high standard of clinical care to patients attending the Musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatient physiotherapy department at Loughborough Hospital within Leicestershire Partnership Trust. The successful candidate will help support the physiotherapy service to deliver safe and effective treatment to patients from a variety of referrers, including orthopaedic services, fracture and rheumatology clinics, as well as GP and self-referrals. You will also have the opportunity to instruct rehabilitation classes and manage a caseload of patients, with the support and mentorship of a team of highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapists. Regular clinical supervision and in- service training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The role will be to assess and treat patients referred to the outpatient department following orthopaedic surgery, or with underlying mobility issues. You will work with the patient to progress their exercise programme and mobility, working to achieve patient aims and goals. You will work with a qualified physiotherapist to deliver a variety of rehabilitation classes in our large gym area. You will work in a large team with qualified staff who offer support and training.

There is a small amount of cleaning and administrative duties within the role.
