Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 8A Clinical Psychologist to work in our Adult Eating Disorders team. The team is expanding, and we are increasing the provision of Clinical Psychology.

We are excited to offer opportunities to train in CBT-ED and MANTRA (both NICE recommended treatment models for eating disorders) providing specific therapeutic frameworks in the context of working with clinical complexity and co-morbidity.
We are a research active service and you will be supported to be involved in projects both locally and nationally. There will be scope to develop and shape your special interests where these align with the needs of the service and communities we serve.
There are also opportunities to work closely with our inpatient service, located in the same building and providing support to patients across the East Midlands region.
Part time hours/flexible working patterns will be considered in line with service need.

Main duties of the job
Our team supports adults who have an eating disorder, providing individual care plans for recovery through evidence-based interventions and strong therapeutic relationships
The role of the Band 8A clinical psychologist involves managing your own caseload, providing assessments, care plans, risk assessments, and reviews as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The provision of supervision and training to other staff, both internally and externally is part of the role.
A good understanding of the physical and psychological risks experienced by our patients will be helpful and you will be supported with this alongside training and development opportunities relevant to your role equipping you with specialist skills.
This will be an opportunity for you to learn new skills in a supportive and dynamic environment, starting a new career in this highly specialist area.
You will have regular clinical supervision, either group or individual, to support your practice; and you will attend regular team meetings for effective communication.
You will also be able to take part in our weekly CPD programme, where we have an extensive range of speakers.
