Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diana Childrens Nurse Special Needs Education.
Monday to Friday Term Time 37.5 hours.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Diana Childrens Community Service team supporting Leicester Special school. The role will be based at Ash Field Academy Specialist School supporting pupils aged 4 to 19 years with complex medical conditions or serious physical disabilities in a safe nurturing environment.
Main duties of the job
The role will be to support a defined caseload of children and young people with a wide range of complex needs and learning difficulties.
Empower education staff through support and training to deliver health care tasks confidently and competently.
Provide monitoring and reassurance to check that all medical procedures are being completed correctly and with due regard for the safety and dignity of the pupil.
Attend all essential training as specified by the Diana Service to maintain clinical competence/peer assessment/LCAT.
Train and assess non healthcare professionals across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland using standardised quality training packages and assessments tools.
The team is supported by Team leaders within the Diana service and include training, supervision, and support.
