Job summary
The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are a nationally driven initiative who provide mental health early intervention and prevention to children and young people. We offer low intensity CBT via 1:1 or groups within an education setting. In addition, we offer a 'Whole School Approach' which aims to increase mental health awareness and collaboration within schools.
To support our exciting expansion plans we are currently looking for experienced Practitioners with a minimum of two years’ experience as either qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP), Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP), Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) or hold a High Intensity CBT qualification, providing support to Children and Families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

Main duties of the job
Key areas of work will be;
- Supporting the senior Mental Health Lead in each education setting to introduce or develop their whole school/college approach
- Responsible for liaising directly with schools, developing and co-producing materials for evidence-based interventions and presentations
- Giving timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education
- Supporting the EMHPs in delivering high-quality CBT interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties in and around schools, through clinical and managerial supervision.
- Holding a clinical caseload and be actively involved in delivering universal and targeted group interventions in schools. These interventions will be CBT based, your experience as a PWP, EMHP or CWP will be invaluable in developing and delivery of individual and group CBT interventions to young people and parents.
- Supporting the continued development of the team and service which includes being involved in various workstreams and the opportunity to lead tasks to support continued expansion.
