Job summary

Not All Heroes Wear Capes! We have an exciting opportunity for a senior band 6 Physiotherapist to join our wonderful therapy team and MDT on Dalgleish ward at Melton Mowbray Community Hospital. You will be providing a high level of physiotherapy to sub acute medical elderly patients in a fast paced, exciting and modern ward environment. Dalgleish ward is a 16 bedded medical step downward in the heart of the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. You will be working within an integrated team of Occupational Therapist, Technical instructors, Ward sister, nurses, health care assistants and Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Main duties of the job

To within an integrated MDT to provide a high level of physiotherapy input to elderly patients. To work as a specialist clinician to utilise, develop and enhance Physiotherapy clinical and professional skills within the Service to deliver high standards of practice. To provide specialist Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a multi- disciplinary format in clinical care pathways. To take a lead in developing the Service. This involves promoting high quality clinical practice and ensuring professional standards are maintained in the workplace. To deliver a specialist Physiotherapy Service to patients within an inpatient environment, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of their environments to maximise their abilities and opportunities for occupational wellbeing. To complete physiotherapy assessments and formulate person centred goals.
