We have an exciting opportunity for 2 flexible and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join the Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS) which is integral to Community Health Services in Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The successful Candidates will join a specialist multi-professional team comprising of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Clinical Psychologists (Neuropsychology) and Generic Rehabilitation Technical Instructors working closely with Speech and Language Therapy services along with, Stroke and Neurology Rehabilitation Consultants.

Main duties of the job

The team provides specialist neuro-rehabilitation in community and outpatient settings to individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions and stroke. These positions require 2 flexible and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists with relevant clinical experience in Neurology and/or Stroke rehabilitation. Previous Community experience would also be advantageous but not essential.

You will be required to manage a caseload in a busy, developing environment with senior and multidisciplinary support available. Excellent organisational, communication and team working skills are required for this position, along with the ability to support and develop other members of the CINSS team.

The positions also include internal rotation into the Discharge to Assess and 3 day Response aspects of the CINSS service provision as part of professional clinical development.

The team's hub is at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre (BHSCC), with spoke bases across Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland.

There are 2 full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 6 Occupational Therapist posts available (the service will also consider applications for part time working hours). One position is to be based in the CINSS city team (Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre base) and the second is to be based in the CINSS west team (Loughborough hospital base).
