Job summary
Clinical Psychology is highly valued within the Multi-Disciplinary Team at The Beacon, CAMHS Adolescent Unit.
The Beacon is a purpose-built unit where specialist assessment and intervention is provided for young people with complex mental health, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental, and risk-related difficulties. We have recently launched a trauma-informed pathway of care and we are a positive behaviour support pilot site.
The role is interesting and varied, with opportunities to contribute at an individual, family, team and organisational level. There is scope for training and development in areas of interest.
The post holder will work with support from the current Clinical Psychologist, as well as autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures and utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.

Main duties of the job
- To demonstrate the Trusts values in everything you do in the work environment and live up the LPT Pledge
- To provide specialist assessment, formulation and implementation of plans for psychological treatment and/or management of a clients mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the clients problems, and employing methods based upon evidence
- To provide psychological advice and intervention at a team level, including team formulation, reflective practice and training
- To contribute to service development
