Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Physiotherapist with stroke experience to join our team at St. Luke's Community Hospital.

Ward One is a 15 bedded in-patient sub acute stroke unit delivering specialist stroke care and rehabilitation to patients transferred from acute hospital wards. We also have a small number of beds on the ward available for general medical rehabilitation.

We work closely with our community colleagues in ESDS (Early Supported Discharge Service) and CINSS (Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service).

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will demonstrate they have a range of transferable skills in providing stroke therapy, from experience gained in a hospital or community, neurology or stroke setting.

You will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation which follows evidenced based practice, working with a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Technical Instructors and the wider multi-disciplinary ward team.

You will also work closely with the Band 7 Ward Team to support development of the therapy service and ward team.
