An exciting opportunity has arose for a Team Manager/Link Worker to join our small team here in Oldham.
The SCM team consists of SCM Practitioners, Link Workers, a Psychologist and a Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
The Oldham PCFT Structured Clinical Management is an intervention which is delivered from within the adult Community Mental Health Teams for people aged 18 and over.
The Structured Clinical Management team is a psychological approach, targeting the acute symptoms that are experienced by those with Complex Emotional and Relational Needs.
The team work collaboratively to provide containment skills and structure for service users. Delivering a psychological intervention, whilst also responding to clinical needs and risks as they arise.

- Socialisation/ Stabilisation
- Treatment Phase (Group Work)
- Transition to Ending
People with complex emotional and relational needs (CERN) have difficulties managing their emotions safely, may struggle with making and keeping healthy relationships, and have difficulties with impulse control.
Main duties of the job
The Team Manager for the the Structured Clinical Management team is part of a wider management team within the Specialist Community Mental Health Service.
To be responsible for the ongoing operational management of the Structured Clinical Management Team, including embedding appropriate procedures, service materials and governance arrangements.To have continuing responsibility for the operational management of the team, including coordinating the clinicians working in SCM. Management of referrals and line management of people working in the team (including appraisals).To work with the CERN Clinical Lead to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to service users in accordance with the SCM Model, Trust's Policies and Procedures, and Professional Code of Conduct.To work closely with colleagues within the Complex Emotional and Relational Needs (CERN) pathway, to ensure service users access the most appropriate and effective intervention for their needs (i.e. SCM, DBT, MBT, DTC, or SCPTS).The post holder will additionally work clinically in the SCM service, offering individual and/or group SCM intervention alongside the wider management and colleagues of the Specialist Community Mental Health Team Services.
