Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an Operational Planning and Performance Manager to join the planning and performance function within our Strategic Delivery Hub.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager with a strong track record of performance management and delivery to join our newly created operational performance team, supporting trust wide delivery of performance targets and developing skills across the organisation.

As a senior leader in the organisation, you will provide expert support and leadership for performance management across the Trust and within our Operational Networks and Care Hubs ensuring processes are aligned to our strategy and objectives, statutory and regulatory standards, and specific commissioning requirements

You will provide excellent leadership and day to day management support to a small group of staff ensuring the key priorities of team are understood and delivered within timescales

You'll be spending a lot of time talking to senior leaders , services and external stakeholders, so your communication and negotiation skills will be formidable, as will your ability to understand complex service issues and challenges.

Main duties of the job

The Operational Performance team provides guidance and support to Network leadership teams to inform operational decision making, improvement plans and business planning, ensuring processes are aligned to corporate objectives, processes and systems, statutory and regulatory standards and specific commissioning requirements.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, the Operational Planning and Performance Manager will develop and embed systems and processes to ensure operational oversight of performance against key performance indicators, national planning guidance and local andnational performance standards.

The postholder will provide day to day management for the operational performance team, utilising knowledge and experience of operational performance management to identify and prioritise areas of focus and provide direction as to required data and information to support decision making.

Working with the senior leadership team, they will provide expert knowledge and advice to support performance improvement ensuring this is firmly embedded into the organisation's culture and thatperformance targets are met.The post holder will also support a culture of continuous improvement within services, ensuring quality improvement methodologies are embedded in line with our organisation's improvement framework. They will work closely with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Operating Officer to develop and embed a positive performance culture.
