We are looking for an enthusiastic Child and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner who is confident delivering brief, low-intensity, evidence-based interventions and thrives in creative, flexible, and community-driven environments.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver evidence-based guided self-help for children and young people with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties.

  • Support young people and families through 1:1 sessions, group work, and drop-in conversations

  • Co-deliver workshops and psychoeducation in various settings including #Thrive and community settings

  • Work collaboratively with professionals across education, health, social care, and voluntary services.

  • Promote mental health literacy and empower young people to build resilience and self-management skills

  • Be part of a compassionate, skilled multi-disciplinary team focused on accessible, trauma-informed care.

Essential

  • Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or undergraduate course) OR an experienced and qualified graduate mental health worker with a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Mental Health Care or equivalen

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working as a psychological wellbeing practitioner / graduate mental health worker in a primary care setting
  • Experience of routine outcome monitoring
  • Experience of working in the local community
  • Experience of multi-agency working

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of child psychology and development
  • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
  • Demonstrate an understanding of parenting and behaviour management interventions
  • Knowledge of child protection issues, safeguarding and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding school and education and the impact it can have on mental health

Skills

  • Ability to meet agreed / specified service targets
