An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Psychological Therapies Leadership team. The Clinical Lead will work closely with the Associate Network Director for Psychological Therapies (ANDPT), Chief Psychological Professions Officer (CPPO), Senior managers, Clinical leads for other care pathways, and the acute care psychological service leads, to provide high quality, safe and effective care for ourservice users.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure the provision of a broad range of Psychological Therapies within the older adult pathways. They will provide clinical input in the form of delivery of assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions of a high standard in line with nationally approved evidence bases and at the level of complexity appropriate to a consultant psychologist. They will be expected to be significantly involved in providing face to face clinical activity in the Oldham area and they will provide expert consultancy on psychological therapies to clinicians within services and teams across the Trust more widely. Supervision of others will be a key part of the roleThe post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and will jointly, with the Psychology Leads, share responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological therapy practice within older people's services across the trust. They will represent the older adult pathway in the strategic psychological therapy structure trust wide.A key role for the post holder is to embed the principles of trauma informed care, supporting the developing understanding about such approaches across staff teams, our processes and care delivered.The post holder will support psychological practitioners working across the older adult pathways and help support MDT ways of working.The post holder will support the adoption and embedding of new psychological practitioner roles.
