Job summary

The successful candidate will provide night management and senior clinical andoperational leadership across the required boroughs in the appropriate Divisionproviding support to the older peoples, adult and specialist services includingoversight of the S136 suite and Safe Haven.They will be required be an autonomous clinical and managerial lead for all of theinpatient wards (adult and older peoples) and acute crisis services across therelevant footprint.There is an expectation that the post holder will travel across the relevant footprint ina planned and ad hoc manner ensuring equity in support and consistent approachesacross all wards / services.The night manager will provide the most senior cover and leadership to the boroughsout of hours operating with significant autonomy. They will be responsible forensuring resourcing and safe nursing across the division out of hours. They will bethe senior level of management present in the division prior to contacting the seniormanager on call and therefore responsible for the safe management of thegovernance agenda in line with Trust, NMC & CQC standards.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities

The provision of effective clinical leadership to and management of ward staff including undertaking supervision and IPDRs.

  • Must be first level registered nurse, RMN or RN in Mental Health.
  • Must have an excellent command both numeracy and English language skills.

  • Degree level qualification
