Job summary

Commissioning and Implementation Manager IPS: Employment Support for people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) across Greater Manchester.

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable person to lead, manage and deliver the commissioning and implementation of IPS for Serious Mental Health for Greater Manchester.

This post will be for 3 years in the first instance and will be hosted by Pennine Care NHS FT but will be responsible for the project across Greater Manchester.

The post holder will be responsible for the commissioning and implementation of the IPS employment support services for people with Serious Mental Illness across Greater Manchester.

This will include the implementation and mobilisation of the contract currently out to tender and the future commissioning and implementation of contracts associated with this project.

About us

The post will be based at Pennine Care Trust HQ in Ashton under Lyne, Greater Manchester but will work flexibly across GM with remote and hybrid working arrangements being available.

  • Educated to, or working towards, master's level, plus equivalent relevant experience.
  • Project Management qualification.
  • Evidence of continuous development including leadership development and implementing policies and processes.

  • Experience of service commissioning and tender process including leading tender processes within the health and social care arena.
  • Experience of working with senior management teams on commissioning / service redesign projects
  • Demonstrable experience of project management and implementation: o Establishing and delivering complex projects within agreed timescales. o Working in effective partnerships with service users, clinicians, and other stakeholders o Involvement in service redesign projects.
  • Demonstrate experience in using lessons learnt to develop best practice.
  • Experience of involvement in NHS procurement processes, performance management and stakeholder engagement (including clinicians, and users / carers)
  • Significant demonstrable experience of working across organisations, particularly acute and community care interface.

Desirable

  • Senior management experience in the NHS.
  • Experience of project management within a Prince methodology or similar
