Facilities Supervisor (North - Bury and Oldham)

Pennine Care NHS FT

The closing date is 06 May 2024

Job summary

The Facilities Supervisor role is an exciting new post within the facilities team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, which has been introduced to strengthen our ability to deliver and monitor quality facilities services across all our sites. Our team will include three Facilities Supervisors within the Oldham and Bury localities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring we provide quality soft FM services with the drive and experience to supervise our dedicated in-house domestic teams across Bury and Oldham. We must ensure that our services achieve the standards set in the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 at all times to ensure that our service user and staff environments meet IPC requirements, and this role will help monitor and ensure our teams can deliver this.

The postholder will be based from a location within Bury or Oldham which can be discussed at interview, but the role will always be covering both localities.

Hours of the post are 12.00 pm - 20.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

The postholder will be based within the North locality, and therefore will be required to contribute to the weekend supervisor rota for the North by working 1 in 5 weekends to cover the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR), Bury and Oldham sites. As part of the North team, supervisor support within the HMR sites may be required during periods of absence. The postholder will be supported within an experience management team.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the postholder include the supervision of the in-house Facilities Assistants (Domestic) and cleaning services across Fairfield General Hospital, Royal Oldham Hospital and all other sites in the Bury and Oldham localities. The postholder will be responsible for the completion of staff rotas to ensure there is always sufficient cover to deliver the standards set in the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and other standard operating procedures.

The postholder will be expected to carry out regular spot checks of the environment, including estates jobs as required, supervisor audits and overall supervision of the sites to ensure that the soft facilities management (FM) services meet the requirements of our staff and service users.

About us

The postholder will be joining the facilities team which is within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, delivering all soft FM services across the Trust. The team are passionate about ensuring we provide high-quality and effective facilities services to our staff and service users. The team demonstrate and live by the Trust values and behaviours each day, and we work together as one team.
