Job summary

We have a highly unique opportunity for a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) to apply for a position within our CAMHS Inpatient Service.

We wish to recruit a qualified ANP to enhance our dynamic multi-disciplinary team that provide specialist services to children, young people and families within our mental health services.

Our CAMHS Inpatient Unit consists of two wards rated Outstanding by CQC. The Hope and Horizon Unit, based in Bury, provide general adolescent and eating disorder inpatient care and treatment for young people aged 13-18 years. Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust have been awarded Lead Provider role for the Greater Manchester CAMHS Inpatient Lead Provider Collaborative and there has never been a more exciting time to join our innovative and quality driven service.

Working in an integral role within our CAMHS Acute Pathway you will work alongside other teams providing urgent and crisis care for young people, including the Home Intensive Treatment Team, Rapid Response Teams and Greater Manchester Assessment and Inreach Team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a advanced nurse practitioner posts within our inpatient service.

The post holder will be responsible for exercising advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in the delivery of evidenced based clinical care. They will be responsible for delivering a high quality of care for service users and their carers within our services for those young people with mental health difficulties.

The focus of this role is the delivery of clinical excellence and leadership in working with young people. Acting as an autonomous practitioner the post holder will provide clinical assessment, diagnosis (where possible), and treatment (where appropriate) for patients referred to the service within their scope of professional practice.

With a keen interest to develop the postholder there are opportunities to work towards Approved Clinician status in the future.

  • Demonstrate significant post registration experience at senior grade
  • Extensive experience of mental health nursing ideally in a child and adolescent setting

  • Experience of working with children and young people in a community setting

Knowledge
