Job summary
This post is to provide consistent and experienced medical support to the inpatient unit. Salary is on the standard LAS scale and nationally agreed terms and conditions apply. The starting point will be determined subject to seniority and experience of the successful applicant. With the minimum of two years' service and over the LAS Doctors are entitled to 6 weeks of annual leave equivalent to 30 days in a year. If the service is under two years the annual leave entitlement is 5 weeks, 25 days over 12 months. The Supervising Consultant must approve leave providing that there are no on calls.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Duties:
Duties will consist of assessing patients admitted to the 18-bedded female ward -Moorside at BHH Rochdale. Where appropriate initiating treatment under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist. The appointed doctor will be expected to carry out ward rounds with the team, conduct physical health examination and monitoring of the patients on the ward. They will be expected to monitor the treatment plans as outlined by the MDT and report to the ward consultant.
