This is an established post- Specialty Doctor in general adult inpatient Psychiatry - Hollingworth ward, John Elliot Unit, Birch Hill Hospital , Rochdale.
Main duties of the job
The post involves Inpatient service based on Hollingworth ward single sex Male ward 18 beds capacity. The doctor will join a friendly, well-established inpatient working Age Psychiatry Service which altogether includes one full-time Consultant, one full-time speciality doctor and at least two trainee doctor-a GP trainee and an FY1 dr . The team works closely with CMHT sectors the EIP team and Home treatment team.

About us
Rochdale hosts a thriving training and research environment. The total complement of Consultants in Rochdale is now 15 WTE (7 Working-Age; 4 Old Age( two full time and 2 part time ) 2 CAMHS; 1 Learning Disability, 1 Early Intervention)
The current model in Working Age is based on an inpatient/outpatient model. There are 3 Community Consultants (3 sectors), each covering outpatients only, and 2 Inpatient Consultants with a Full-time consultant cover for the EIT, full time consultant covering HTT/Access team .
