Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for providing a flexible and comprehensive service for the Trust for the Internal reporting function and commissioned work from the Network Business Partners.
This will include but is not limited to providing a wide range of accounting and budgetary support across all areas of the Trust's operations. Setting annual budgets for both capital and revenue (financial plans) within the internal reporting systems, monitoring of performance against financial plans through detailed analytical review, investigation of variances and escalation of areas of concern
Main duties of the job
Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and Trust administrative support posts to ensure the delivery of a professional service focused on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

Generate invoice and credit note requests for NHS and non-NHS organisations competently and efficiently, referring to Internal Reporting Accountants when necessary; understanding the requirement to ensure funding is correctly billed.
Plan and organise own work schedule with support from Head of InternalReporting and Internal Reporting Accountants to meet weekly and monthlydeadlines.
Create system journals for both capital and revenue in line with journal guidance.
Agree and set annual budgets in consultation with managers and budget holders and with guidance from line manager, taking care to adhere to all Trust policies and strategies.
Maintain records of budget changes and profiles of expected expenditure on both excel files and the general ledger system regularly evidencing that both systems are in balance.
