An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual who would like to join Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The vacant post is to provide a high quality medical secretarial support to the consultants and clinical team ensuring that the highest standards are maintained in line with the Trust's policies and procedures.
The successful candidate is required to have extensive knowledge of the NHS core business systems and processes.
The successful candidate would need to have good organisational skills and have the ability to manage the extensive workloads and to meet pre-determined deadlines.
The successful candidate would be required to have the ability to work both as part of a busy team and ontheir own initiative.
The successful candidate will undertake the full range of secretarial duties including audio typing via the BigHand electronic system (Tapes on occasion), discharging patients via PARIS, general correspondence, patient assessments, tribunal reports, legal court reports and prioritising clinical letters accordingly
Main duties of the job
To undertake the full range of secretarial duties including audio typing via the BigHand electronic system (Tapes on occasion), inputting patients via PARIS, general correspondence, patient assessments, prioritising clinical letters accordingly and any duties deemed necessary.
Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external contacts using a variety of methods.
Ensuring that an efficient and courteous service is offered to all service users and that confidentiality is strictly maintained.
Act as a liaison for patients, clinicians, GP's and nursing staff, Medical Records, external Mental Health Teams, Practitioners, Local Authority staff and other agencies, both over the phone and face-to-face contact.
Take telephone messages and / or take messages from answer-phone when necessary and deliver that message to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
