Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to provide strong leadership to a dynamic and friendly Access Service, which offers a single point of entry into secondary mental health services through the screening and triage of all referrals received.

The Access Team provides an assessment and brief interventions for service users based on clinical need and risk and offers support prior to referring into secondary care or signposting to alternative services. The team works in partnership with all stakeholders to provide a high standard of care to meet individual needs.

The post holder will also support the integration and development of the Criminal Justice Mental Health Team to operate the front door for mental health secondary care access.

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who can lead the day-to-day operation of the Access Team and CJMHT, providing management and supervision to practitioners working within the service.If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people with severe and enduring mental health needs and have a focus on providing safe, effective, high-quality care, with support from the service manager, then we would be delighted to receive your application.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have responsibility for the management and supervision of the Access and Criminal Justice Mental Health Team and for the standard of practice, which must be delivered according to the policies and procedures of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust . You will provide strong leadership to the team to ensure it performs in the most efficient and effective way providing a safe, high-quality service.

The post holder will carry a reduced clinical workload providing mental health assessment, follow-up and outcome planning in line with the needs of the service users.

  • RMN / DipSW / CQSW/ OT - registration with appropriate professional organisation

  • Range of experience working with vulnerable adults
