Role Summary:
The DTC and DBT is a demanding setting requiring, a high level of professionalism, resilience and advanced understanding of personality disorder and robust personal qualities.
In return we provide, relevant training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and group work through a preceptorship package. The post offers satisfaction along with frustration, professional challenge grounded in high level interpersonal skills, the recognition of firm boundaries, whilst living with uncertainty.
The post holder will be a full member of the clinical team, taking part in the delivery of both DTC Day services (Taste &Orb) and the delivery of the DBT Skill group. There is an expectation of service promotion and development and providing services to other staff groups.

- RMN or post graduate qualification in psychological therapy or BSc(OT), Dipl. SW or Clinical Psychologist

- Therapeutic Community experience desirable
- Extensive experience of working with client's a diagnosis of Personality disorder.

Service Summary:
The Democratic Therapeutic Community and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Services are innovative therapeutic setting for service users in secondary care or with previous mental health interventions, which have complex needs or a diagnosis of personality disorder.
The Democratic Therapeutic Community (DTC)
The service runs two, one day services within the trust, and also provides consultation supervision and training to other staff. Staffing is 2.8 clinical staff plus a 1.0 wte Team Manager/Clinician and is supported by a 0.6 administrator; Service User Consultants are key members of the team.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT),
The service receives referrals from the trust. Staffing consists of 7 clinical staff work into the team 1 day a week from one of the five Pennine Care Psychological Therapies departments. The DBT therapists provide a link service to Community Mental Health Teams and consult with teams to enable service users to access the DBT service. DBT Skills Group Training is provided by 2 clinicians weekly. The service is managed by the Team Manager

To undertake consultancy and supervision to teams and organizations workingwith people with personality disorder.
