Looking for a new and exciting challenge and qualified as a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist? Look no further as we have opportunities to join the Children Commissioning rated 3rd most successful CAMHS Service in the Country as a Mental Health Practitioner.

As an experienced professional you will be responsible for the assessment and intervention of young people up to the age of 19 who have an identified mental health need across the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale footprint.

You will be working with a proactive multi-disciplinary team who seek to provide high level Thrive aligned interventions which are evidence based are measurable using routine outcome measures.

You will be supported by an experienced management team with a shared set of values and have access to both local and national programs of psychological therapy training to enhance practitioner skills and confidence.

Main duties of the job

  • To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment
  • To provide or provide access to a range of quality psychotherapeutic interventions in accordance with individual assessed need.
  • Work as a co-therapist where appropriate with other members of the
  • To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake case management responsibilities within the service
  • To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the child and others in line with Pennine care and CAMHS procedures
  • To liaise closely with a wide range of agencies regarding individual care packages and to promote awareness of child and adolescent mental health issues
  • To provide consultation and training on a wide range of children's emotional health and well-being issues to professionals from a range of services
  • To engage in/deliver managerial and clinical supervision,
  • Ensure collection of relevant information required by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • To routinely monitor effectiveness of clinical work by use of Routine Outcome Measures (ROM)
  • To take part in the CAMHs emergency duty rota in order to provide urgent mental health assessment of children including those admitted following self-harm and in line with Pennine care protocols to both advise other professionals regarding risk and work with them to develop a plan of care for the child. This involves occasional weekend work.
