Job summary

Pennine Care is committed to improving services for people with Personality Disorder in line with the GM model for treatment of personality disorder and the National Community Mental Health Framework.

Anew serviceis being developed allied to the adult CMHT transformation to bring a more psychological approach to treatment and care.

Main duties of the job

You will work as a member of the CMHT personality disorder team providing 1-1 and group interventions to service users on the Structured Clinical Management Pathway under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist. You will provide case management and support to people engaged with the SCM programme with relatively stable but complex presentations.

To use a high level of interpersonal skills, reasoning and negotiation skills toestablish a therapeutic relationship with people with complex emotionaldifficulties managing barriers to communicationTo act as a named worker for the service users allocated to your carepractising without direct supervision and with a degree of autonomyTo undertake psychological formulation and mental health and riskassessments for service users referred to the serviceTo participate in MDT discussions and peer/ skills sharing sessionsTo provide therapeutic weekly interventions under the Structured ClinicalManagement pathway both 1-1 sessions and group sessions in conjunctionwith other practitionersTo monitor, evaluate and modify all individual and group-workinterventions/treatment in order to measure progress and ensureeffectiveness of intervention.
