Main duties of the job
Stockport Enhanced IAPT (Step 3.5) Service provides a range of evidenced based interventions for people requiring a psychological intervention of a complex nature. The post is within an Enhanced IAPT service and is full time on a permanent basis.
Provision of Counselling based assessment, and treatment for people experiencing a moderate to severe common mental health problem. The post holder should hold an additional IAPT qualification, be accredited by the BACP or UKCP and have experience of working with clients with complex related presentations.
To provide Counselling to complex clients referred into the Enhanced IAPT service.
To undertake and manage a clinical caseload and to prioritise work within agreed service criteria
To act autonomously in the assessment and implementation of appropriate treatment
To support with service developments, as required, including the delivery of therapeutic groups and telephone treatment.
To liaise with other professionals as appropriate
To undertake clinical supervision to ensure safe therapeutic practice
To complete all documentation as required by the service
