Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trustare delighted to be developing a Community Rehabilitation Team across the trust footprint.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Multidisciplinary Team as Principal Clinical Psychologist .Working in a flexible /hybrid approach the post holder will provideevidenced based care and play an an integral role indelivering a recovery focused serviceas part of a whole system approach.

The multidisciplinary team will provide specialist clinical care and work within an overall framework for the delivery of community mental health services to support people with complex psychosis who are living in funded placements, including care homes and supported accommodation. Incorporating the NICE guidelines for complex psychosis and supported by the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) national program

Education/Qualifications

Essential

  • Post graduate doctorate qualification in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical, psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS, or a statement of equivalence.
  • Additional further training and qualifications in a range of therapeutic models (e.g. CBT, CAT, psycho-analytic therapies)
  • Extensive experience or specific training in supervision (including trainee clinical psychologists and other professionals within the MDT)
  • Current registration with Health Professions Council or Professional registration body.

Desirable

  • Accredited membership of an appropriate psychological therapy professional body e.g.
  • BABCP accreditation
  • Successful completion of post-qualification training in a therapeutic modality (e.g. CBT, CAT) in addition to core training
  • Additional further training in the use of specific psychometric and/or neuro-psychological assessment tools.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist.
  • Substantial experience of receiving supervision.
  • Post qualification experience of psychological assessment, intervention and management working with a wide range of clinical presentations. These should include complex long-term co-morbid physical health conditions and / or complex mental health conditions. Experience in undertaking line management of psychological therapies staff.
  • Experience of supervising psychological therapists (including trainees) and non-psychology staff.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and full range of settings including community, inpatients and acute care settings.
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary services in physical and mental health pathways
  • Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for psychological care and treatment as an autonomous practitioner with complex and challenging service users within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.
