We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage the Assessment & Engagement function within Bury's CMHT
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the Assessment & Engagement team within the Living Well agenda and the transformation of Community Mental Health services. The service offers short term goal orientated bio-psycho-social interventions to maximise recovery and enable individuals to develop self-management skills. The aim of the service is to promote independence within a person-centered model and focuses on working collaboratively with individuals who use our services to best meet their needs.
The team comprises of health and social care staff and addresses the needs of individuals with severe/ enduring mental health issues who meet Care Act eligibility. Multi-disciplinary working is at the heart of what we do and we have close working relationships with colleagues from within the Trust and within the council and VCSE sector.
The role also includes management of the council Reviewing Officer function for individuals with commissioned packages of care.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for the management and supervision ofthe Assessment & Engagement / Bury council Reviewing Officer function within the Community Mental Health Team.
This is an integrated health and social care team, and the manger will line manager and supervise both health and social care staff.
You will provide strong leadership to the team to ensure it performs in the most efficient and effective way ensuring all key performance indicators are met whilst providing a safe and high-quality service.

- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current registration or other professional registered qualification in a health or social care field
- Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act , Care programme Approach and Care Act. Knowledge of key guidance, screening and assessment processes related to CMHT client group Knowledge of NICE guidance and best practice guidelines with regards to this client group.
- Substantial experience as a senior mental health practitioner at Band 6 or equivalent level in a CMHT or similar service with clients with severe/ enduring mental health issues.
