Job summary
We are looking to recruit dynamic Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners to join our All age Liaison Mental Health Service as part of our all age Core 24 team.
Main duties of the job
If you are a registered mental health professional with experience or who would like to develop into a role in assessing and supporting individuals of any age, either children and young people, working age or older adults and would like to be part of a growing and developing service we would like to hear from you. We are particularly interested in practitioners with experience of working with children and young people to support the development of this pathway within the team.
You will be able to undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments, develop effective risk management plans, provide brief interventions and appropriately signpost and make onward referrals for individuals who come through the range of services within the general hospital. The role is extremely varied and provides a unique opportunity to develop skills across different service areas.
About us
The liaison mental health service offers a comprehensive range of mental health specialties within one multi-disciplinary team so that all individuals of any age with a suspected or actual mental health problem within the general hospital can be assessed, treated, signposted or referred appropriately regardless of presenting complaint, time of presentation or severity of condition. The service puts an emphasis on diversion and discharge from the emergency department and the facilitation of early but effective discharge from the acute hospital site.
