We are an exciting and dynamic CAMHS Home Treatment Team, part of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), working with young people aged 12-18 years who are experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

Our team provides intensive support in the home environment with the aim of preventing hospital admissions and supporting recovery within the community. We work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to provide timely, compassionate, and effective care.

As a Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering responsive, community-based mental health support. You'll work closely with clinicians across a range of disciplines, helping to provide practical and emotional support tailored to each young person's needs.This Band 4 role is ideal for:o Those with experience working with children or young people in any setting (e.g. education, youth work, care)o Graduates in psychology or a related field looking to gain hands-on experience in the NHS and mental health serviceso Individuals seeking a stepping stone into further training or clinical roles within mental health

  1. To support the users of the Home Treatment Team with a range of practical, health and social issues under the supervision of a senior member of the team.
  2. Work with service users to facilitate access and engagement in a range of community based activities.
  3. Develop a rapport based upon championship and friendship, but within appropriate and transparent boundaries.
  4. Help users gain access to resources including benefits and welfare rights.
  5. Help to identify early signs of relapse by monitoring users progress, level of functioning and mental state and alert the appropriate staff involved in the individuals care.
  6. To attend meetings internal and external to the Trust when deemed appropriate by the senior clinician involved or Home Treatment manager.
  7. Maintain adequate records as required by existing procedures, entering appropriate details on the service users case notes as necessary.
  8. Attend and participate in team/care plan review meetings as appropriate.
  9. Develop good working relationships with other organisations that are able to help individuals achieve their goals, including colleges, schools, other training providers and voluntary agencies, the inpatient units and community services

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
