The Croft Child & Family Unit in Cambridge is a nationally commissioned Tier 4 hospital for children under the age of 13 who require inpatient treatment for mental health difficulties. We have an exciting opportunity for a confident, compassionate & motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to complement our multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a clinical leader who ensures that the highest standards of evidenced based nursing care are provided. The post holder will provide inspirational nursing leadership within the team, embedding evidence based clinical nursing practice and collaborate with the wider system providing assurance of excellent care. We are enthusiastic about co-production to improve standards and are committed to continuous learning.
We will provide quality supervision, space for reflection, and opportunities for professional development.
With Cambridge Children's hospital as part of our future, where a unique vision of integrated mental health and physical healthcare sit alongside research, you will hold an instrumental role in Leading the team through change and working as part of a wider system of professionals bringing this project to the children and families of East Anglia.

Whilst this role is typically a Monday - Friday 9-5 we would have an expectation that there is flexibility, and that clinical shifts can be accommodated to support the team and role model nursing care across the 24/7day service we offer.
