Job summary

The role will be working in the community and an in-patient rehab unit with Stroke patients and progressive neurological conditions. You will have opportunities to work closely with other multidisciplinary teams in the community, primary care, acute neuro rehab team and other outside agencies. There is an in-service training programme in place. The post is within a multidisciplinary team and you will work alongside our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses and Rehab assistants.

The post will be based at City Care Centre Peterborough, Doddington Community Hospital, Princess of Wales Ely or North Cambs Hospital Wisbech dependent on closeness to their home. The successful candidate will work in an agile manner using virtual consultation to manage their caseload of patients, having access to a smart phone and laptop to support this.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Specialist Neuro Rehab Physiotherapist to join the Team. This role is to support the delivery of community neuro rehab to patients in their own homes and within a inpatient rehab setting. Close multidisciplinary work is a keyway of working, providing a supportive environment for all staff. You will support patients with physical, cognitive and psychosocial challenges to achieve their potential and will be instigating, ultimately delivering better health, care and improved efficiency for our patients.

Staff personal and professional development is highly important to us and staff have the opportunity to receive training through in-service training as well as being supported to undertake a blended competency package to help you develop within your profession and role.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable to support service delivery.

The successful post holder will need to have access to their own car and be able to travel to and from their work locality.
