We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated part time Physiotherapist Specialist Practitioner, to join the St Ives Neighbourhood Team based at Kings Hall, St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

The Specialist Practitioner Physiotherapist role is based in the area surrounding St Ives and Huntingdon. You would be working as part of a community-based therapy team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment.

This post will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to consolidate their community, clinical and managerial skills. You will be working within a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistants and alongside Nursing and Mental Health colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance a team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work as an autonomous practitioner within the integrated multi professional Community Therapy team to provide a high standard of care to our patients.

Your role will include assessing, planning and developing specialist physiotherapist programmes for patients with a wide variety of complex needs. You will be responsible for your own caseload, prioritising referrals according to clinical need, signposting appropriately and undertaking assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using advanced, specialist clinical reasoning skills.

Your role also includes supervision of junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensuring that Assistant Practitioners and Integrated Care Workers deliver high quality patient care.
