We are looking for someone who is passionate about the development of others, with experience in the design and delivery of training and development including use of technology and simulation in learning.
A good candidate will have a learning and development or educational background that includes a particular interest in the innovative use of emerging learning technologies. They will be able to contribute to analysis of training needs and quality assurance measures for blended learning programmes including review of effectiveness in meeting clinical needs. It would suit someone with keen attention to detail and process, balanced with a flexible and naturally curious and creative approach to development that supports the delivery of safe and effective services. They will demonstrate the ability to engage, support, motivate and lead others to deliver high quality care.

Main duties of the job
- To support CPFT People Strategy through Technology Enhanced Learning workstreams.
- To contribute to implementation of new modes of training delivery supporting trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to appropriately integrate current and emerging learning technologies in a blended approach to learning.
- To develop and support maintenance of the Virtual learning Environment (VLE) and Learning Management System (LMS) functions.
- To promote meaningful staff engagement in technology enhanced learning opportunities.
- To contribute to analysis of training needs and quality assurance measures for blended learning programmes, and review implementation and effectiveness in addressing specific identified learning or clinical needs.

- To design and deliver high quality, evidence based, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) opportunities in collaboration with the Learning and Development Consultant.
- To work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on developing accessible, engaging, and effective, training and development opportunities in their area of expertise, making best use of available and emerging learning technologies.
- To promote best practice in design and delivery for effective learning in a VLE and/or use of emerging technologies.
- To deliver developments in a timely manner and to deadline, whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide second line technical support, investigate the query, and determine and implement the most appropriate way of meeting the identified need, including where further escalation is required.
- To manage and prioritise workload, use own initiative and work without direct supervision under the guidance of senior team members.
- To maintain data quality and integrity of records, including training records held within LMS.
- To carry out LMS administration e.g. user management, reporting, etc.
- To support review and update of existing training programmes to ensure that they continue to meet service delivery needs and offer proactive support where integration of technology may better meet identified training needs.
- To develop and maintain appropriate virtual learning environments to support programmes and courses.
- Provide training for nominated Trust staff, including on a 1:1 or group basis.
- Produce, develop, and promote user guides and support material to enable learners to make best use of all the learning resources available.
