Are you a motivated individual, with a background in inpatient MH / CAMHS experience looking for a new challenge?The Croft child and family unit provides intensive assessment and treatment for children up to 13 years of age with complex mental health and developmental concerns. The unit is family focussed and also provides parenting capacity assessments and intensive parenting interventions.We have a full time Ward manager vacancy, due to internal promotion, therefore are looking for a motivated ward manager to provide positive and compassionate leadership to support our team in providing high quality care to our patients. You will need to have strong role modelling behaviours and organisational skills; promoting growth and development of staff to support retention, while providing operational management to a specialist in-patient and day patient unit.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the care pathway for children and families at The Croft from referral to discharge. To include; ensuring effective communication with families, referrers and external agencies, the management of commissioning arrangements, bed management and case load management for the team.
You will need to ensure that all children and families have high quality comprehensive and collaborative care plans that include evidence-based assessments and interventions and address risks, while taking overall management responsibility for the delivery of care within the unit, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and in line with NICE guidelines, QNIC and CQC standards.
You will lead a team of clinical staff in the delivery of high quality evidence-based practice, ensuring that regular supervision, appraisal and mandatory training takes place while co-ordinating positive multidisciplinary working, maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all team members, and other services within the Trust, to ensure effective interface and continuity of care between disciplines and services.
