We are currently looking to recruit a keen, enthusiastic and highly motivated FREED champion (First Episode Rapid Early Interventions for Eating Disorders) to join our Norfolk Community Adult Eating Disorder service, based in Sprowston Norwich.

It is a very exciting time to join our services, with plans in place to develop our expanding service for adult eating disorders. As FREED champion you will be responsible for leading and coordinating our early intervention service within NCEDS. An experienced clinical nurse would be ideal for this post. You will be required to work collaboratively and independently within our service.

Main duties of the job

You will lead with other senior colleagues the continuing development of a high quality service that is underpinned by evidence based practice and care pathways / packages and NICE guidance and DH guidance; leading on service development and policy in conjunction with the other senior clinicians, and Service Lead. You will also have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and management of lower banded staff within your team as required by your manager.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services; working flexibly where appropriate and operationally required.

  • oCompletion of Mentorship Course or intention to complete.
  • oEvidence of continuous professional development

  • oQSIR Practitioner

Experience

  • oExperience of working alongside people with complex eating disorders
  • oExperience of supervising staff, clinically
  • oExtensive experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people in the designated care pathway
  • oExtensive experience of multi-disciplinary team working
  • oExtensive experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments
  • oExperience of partnership working within and across various statutory and non-statutory teams and agencies
  • oExtensive experience of working within the CPA process
  • oExtensive understanding of clinical governance
