This is a Fixed-term 12 Month contract

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated physiotherapist to join our Staff Support Hub team! If you are a physiotherapist with an interest in using a holistic approach to support the health and wellbeing of staff working in health and social care then this could be the role for you!

Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner within the Hub
To keep appropriate outcome measurement tools and contribute to the evaluation of the Hub
To work with individuals, groups and organisations to enable employers and staff to establish safe working practices and manage health issues
To deliver advice, treatment, individual or group rehabilitation, educational seminars, screening, risk assessments, workplace assessments and provide ergonomic advice - with the aim of enabling staff to improve their health and wellbeing
To restore an individual's fitness and capability to meet the demands of their role
To identify people's needs, agree goals and provide appropriate therapy interventions including equipment in conjunction with Staff Support Hub colleagues as necessary.
To keep the person at the centre of care, ensuring they participate in decision making.
To prioritise all referrals according to clinical need and to allocate or signpost appropriately.
To work closely with Staff Support Hub colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to employee rehabilitation, psychosocial issues and wellbeing as a whole
To promote the Staff Support Hub, and raise awareness of the relationship between work and health

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS Staff Support Hub provides health and wellbeing support to approximately 50,000 employees, trainees and volunteers working in health, social care and associated third sector organisations in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Funded by NHS England, we are one of 40 hubs to provide support of this nature. We do this by providing support for individuals, teams and groups. We are an innovative and flexible team and welcome applications from those who represent the diversity of our local communities.

The post holder will work in conjunction with other members of the Hub team to provide physiotherapy education, support and signposting to staff working within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System. You will work closely with occupational therapists and psychologists to ensure that a holistic approach is taken to enabling staff in health and social care in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to improve their health and wellbeing.

To be responsible for the management of a specialist clinical caseload with guidance from the Staff Support Hub advanced practitioner occupational therapist and/or Clinical Lead
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects for your own and delegated work
To ensure effective assessment as part of the Staff Support Hub and undertake physiotherapy interventions for staff with long term conditions, musculoskeletal disorders and related psychological needs using a high level of clinical reasoning
To work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
To use evidence-based practice, to ensure clinical care is effective and appropriate.
To promote independence and self care, ensuring staff receive the appropriate care in the most appropriate setting.
Attend reviews and meetings relevant to the staff member in relation to health and wellbeing.
Organise and manage own time, delegating work appropriately
To plan, carry out and evaluate health and wellbeing education and awareness groups in conjunction with Staff Support Hub colleagues
Conduct risk assessments and health and safety assessments, including immediately reporting any changes/newly identified risks.
To demonstrate the importance of gaining staff consent in all interventions.
To communicate effectively using both written and verbal skills, in an honest, empowering and diplomatic manner.
Participate in the development of the Staff Support Hub
To use outcome measures as appropriate.
To work effectively within the wider Staff Support Hub team, supporting staff stay at work or return to work swiftly.
To ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept which comply with the Trust policy and HCPC guidance, reporting on any issues as appropriate.
To provide specialist advice to all members of the multi-disciplinary team, service users and appropriate others, of changes involving current care plans, staff progress and other relevant matters that pertain to the care of the patient.
To work within Trust, HCPC and CSP guidelines and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards of practice in line with legal and operational requirements.
