Job summary

The permanent posts are eligible for a £3000 New Hire Bonus. An initial payment of £1000 will be paid in the first 1 month and a final payment of £2000 will be paid 1 year after your start date. Please see attached New Hire Bonus Terms & Conditions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual with a relevant clinical registration (nursing, OT, social work) to join The Ely Neighbourhood Team based at Princess of Wales Hospital (free parking) in the beautiful city of Ely. We are a small, friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team embedded within an exciting Integrated Care model. We provide patient focused, evidence-based mental health interventions and assessment for people aged 65 and above, with a range of Functional and Organic mental health illness. You will manage a caseload of service users, delivering a range of clinical skills and therapeutic and recovery-based interventions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic and sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times. We support agile working and promote regular supervision and continued professional development. You will mainly be covering Ely and the surrounding villages but will also cover other areas of Cambridge as needed. Therefore, successful applicants will need to be able to travel independently and in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

Mental Health practitioners in Neighbourhood Teams will provide assessment and interventions for people with significant mental health conditions including dementia and functional mental health illnesses.

Offer training, advice and guidance to colleagues in the neighbourhood team on common mental health conditions.

Participate in Neighbourhood Team MDT meetings and ensure key information is recorded in shared care plans.

Work closely with the mental health integrated care team in order to provide an excellent and holistic mental health service.
