Job summary

CAMEO is an award-winning CPFT Early Intervention service offering assessment, treatment and support to people aged 14 - 65 years who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time.

Due to substantial investment in our service we are delighted to be embarking upon a very significant service expansion which will see us more fully meet national targets and provide first-class NICE adherent quality of care.

CAMEO Service operates across our Foundation Trust via two established bases in Cambridge and Peterborough. These career development posts are available both at our Cambridge and Peterborough teams.

Main duties of the job

You will be a care coordinator supported to manage a caseload ensuring delivery of expert clinical assessment and individualized specialist treatment interventions as part of a service user's overall multi-disciplinary team care plan. In addition you will work with families and contribute to overseeing and monitoring the physical health of our service users. You will take part in the meetings and activities of the MDT which will also include being a duty person .

You will need to be skilled at managing relationships with our many stakeholders . You will be called upon at times to write reports . You may also be involved in mental health promotion within our local communities.

  • Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH)
  • NMC registration

Desirable

  • Evidence of continued training and professional development
  • Evidence of training appropriate to adult mental health care

Experience

  • Completion of nurse training program
  • Willingness to undertake Preceptorship program (for newly qualified RMN)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of working with people experiencing psychosis
  • Demonstrate knowledge of working with service users experiencing a crisis related to their mental health

Desirable

  • Evidence of continuing professional practice within a mental health setting
  • Experience of managing workload and ability to prioritise
