Job summary

Here is a great opportunity for a full-time B7 Team Manager to work within our Personality Disorder Service, based in Peterborough or Cambridge for a fixed term 12 month period.

The service is a NICE compliant specialist outpatient service which operates across all four localities within CPFT. The service has undergone an innovative redesign and is embarking on an exciting phase of delivering a high-quality service which strives for excellence for its service users. The service provides evidence-based treatment protocols for patients with moderate to severe personality disorder which cover three main areas of impairment that the illness can present; namely psychological, occupational and social, with a specific focus on managing high chronic risk. The treatment protocols are based on models of Mentalisation Based Therapy, Dialectical Based Therapy and the Model of Human Occupation. There is an ethos of compassion for the lived experience of personality disorder, and therapeutic optimism for long term recovery that runs throughout. The service also offers consultation and training for other teams and services, with close partnership working with GPs and primary care.

Main duties of the job

Oversight of caseload care coordination, ensure delivery of expert clinical assessment and individualized specialist treatment interventions as part of a service user's overall multi-disciplinary team care plan as well as contributing to shaping the strategic direction of the service.

You will have experience of leadership & will have worked within a mental health community setting. It is essential to have either an interest in personality disorder or a wish to develop a robust professional working knowledge within this field.

You will have a range of leadership skills & tasks including confidence at chairing large meetings, ensuring robust governance arrangements, managing service KPI's, audit activity, delivery of supervision, staff appraisals, budgetary management, recruitment, etc.

Essential

  • Registered Nurse/Occupational Therapist/Clinical Psychologist/Social Work qualification
  • Completion of mentorship qualification or intention to complete.

Desirable

  • Qualification in a Therapy eg. CBT, DBT, MBT
  • Management or Leadership Qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in leadership / management role within mental health setting and experience of supervising staff
  • Experience & Evidence of recruiting, managing and training staff.
  • Experience of contributing to and developing operational policies and experience of service evaluate and development.
