Rehabilitation Assistant – Rotational

Job summary

We are currently looking for a generic rehabilitation assistant to join a well-established multidisciplinary team within Therapy and Rehabilitation Services at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Central London .We are looking for people with initiative, organisational abilities and a mature approach who can work under the supervision of the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team. You must be enthusiastic about assisting people of differing abilities and willing to help patient to undertake a range of practical aspects of personal and daily life. You need to have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to different work areas.This post offers the postholder the opportunity to work across a number of service areas: stroke, neuro-rehabilitation, acute neuro-medical and neuro-surgery. The post holder will move across these areas to support the demand in each team.

Main duties of the job

Applicants should have a good general education. Previous experience in a healthcare or community care environment is essential.Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential.Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work on projects within your peer group.
