Applications are invited for the post of Post-CCT Fellow in Otology at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals (RNENTEDH), within University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This fellowship post will be based mainly at the Royal National ENT & EDH Hospital, however it is a requirement of your employment that you be prepared to work at University College Hospital and at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery.
This post provides advanced otology and auditory implant surgery. This would suit a post-CCT trainee who would like to gain more experience in the field of otology and auditory implants. Previous extensive operative experience in this area would enhance the training opportunities for the successful applicant. This post is not recognised for training by the SAC in Otolaryngology but applications for recognition of training will be fully supported.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will, under the clinical supervision of Mr Azhar Shaida, responsible for the provision of specialist ENT services to the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. This will include:
a) diagnosis and treatment in the specialist clinics they attendb) Actively participate in the departmental researchc) to carry out specialist Otology lists in the event of theatre availability due to consultant leaved) Ability to educate and carry out surgical training to specialist otological trainees
